Hilton Music Center, Inc. and the Hilton School of Music are the Capital Region’s oldest and most trusted names in musical instrument sales and music education. Founded in 1939 by Roland A. Hilton as a network of teaching studios, the business expanded into retail with the opening of its first store at 52 Columbia Street in Albany, NY on December 15, 1961.

Today, the Hilton family proudly continues its tradition of serving musicians of all levels, offering a wide selection of instruments and gear from leading brands such as Fender, Yamaha, Gibson, Epiphone, Charvel, Marshall, Laney, Boss, Roland, and Focusrite.

Our renowned School of Music—located at 440 Colonie Center in Albany—offers private lessons as well as our popular HMC Rock Band classes. We welcome students of all ages and skill levels, providing instruction in all styles of music and on nearly every instrument.

Hilton Music Center is located at 440 Colonie Center, Albany, NY 12205 at the Colonie Center Shopping Mall. From Albany International Airport (ALB) travel southeast on NY-155 (Albany-Shaker Road). Turn right onto Wolf Road and after one mile, left into Colonie Center Mall. Both Hilton Music Center and Hilton School of Music are on the upper level near Macy's. Stop in today!
