Capital Region native Gabrielle spent her younger years playing in various youth orchestras and festivals before studying music and journalism at SUNY Plattsburgh. Before graduating Cum Laude, she acted as a featured soloist in recitals and within a JFK Memorial, and held paid positions in two musical theatre productions. In 2015 she embraced her love of teaching and presented a lecture and sample master class as her senior capstone project focused on the American adoption of the Suzuki method of violin instruction. Inspired by a simple music technology course taken in the North Country, she was an inaugural member of Schenectady County Community College's Digital Beats and Music Production certificate program from Fall 2017 through Spring 2018. She owns both electric and acoustic violins, and is fluent in alto clef. She firmly believes a person can learn music at any age, and strives to have every student, whether they are violinists or violists, leave her lessons with a smile. Outside of Hilton Music, she has tutored students in music fundamentals, theory, and sight singing, and has been a member of the Union College Community Orchestra for six years.
